In a recent Instagram post for Valentine’s Day, Jennifer Lopez revealed that she and her husband Ben Affleck had “commitment” tattoos.
After reawakening their engagement from the early 2000s, Lopez and Affleck got hitched last year. The stars started dating in 2002 and got engaged, but the engagement broke off in 2004. In 2021, the couple managed to find each other again.
In a recent Instagram post published on Tuesday, Lopez revealed that the couple had tattoos that represent their dedication to one another.
Lopez shared a slideshow of images of herself and Affleck from the early 2000s as well as more recent ones.
One image depicts Lopez’s side with a brand-new infinity symbol tattoo.
Another photo reveals that Affleck has a tattoo on his body that looks like two arrows tied together with the characters “J” and “B” visible, though it’s not apparent where the tattoo is located.
Using the hashtag: “Commitment. Love, have a happy Valentine’s Day.”
“#CommitmentIsSexy #ThisIsUsThen #ThisIsUsNow #ThisIsMeNow,” Lopez added a string of hashtags to the post.
After their first engagement fell through, Lopez has opened up recently about feeling anxious before getting married to Affleck.
A month before their big wedding, Lopez and her husband chose to elope to Vegas to relieve some of the “strain” of wedding planning, the star revealed during a press conference for her most recent film, “Shotgun Wedding.”
In a later appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the “Jenny from the Block” singer went into more detail about the wedding.
“We had decided to have our wedding in Savannah in August.
It was quite anxious because it was like, “Okay, the family’s going to be there, everybody,” “said Lopez. “I don’t know whether you guys know this, but 20 years ago we were meant to get married, and it kind of all came apart at the time. This time, it was like, I definitely did have some PTSD, and so I was just like, “Is this happening? Is it actually happening like this?”.
According to Lopez, Affleck suggested having a secret ceremony and organised it in a single day while she was practising. They had a formal ceremony in Riceboro, Georgia, a month after their elopement.
