The Flash, starring Ezra Miller, has experienced numerous issues over the course of its run, particularly because Miller, who portrays the protagonist, would not stop getting into mischief. There have been rumours that the company has been debating whether to make the movie or not. Nonetheless, the actor issued an apology for their behaviour in the latter part of last year and committed to getting help for their mental health problems. Since then, the $250 million film’s production has gone without a hitch, and its June release date has been set.

Now, Variety reports that Warner Bros. plans to show the superhero movie at CinemaCon 2023, which will take place between April 24 and April 27. At Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the CinemaCon is an annual gathering of exhibitors and theatre owners from across the country. The Flash will be screened two months prior to the movie’s planned release.

There has been a change in the material when James Gunn and Peter Safran became the joint CEOs of DC Studios. A number of performers, such as Henry Cavill and Dwayne Johnson, who played Superman and Black Adam, respectively, have lost their jobs, while others, such as Gal Gadot, who played Wonder Woman, are in the dark about their futures. Nonetheless, knowing that The Flash is popular with viewers, the CEOs have great expectations for it. Late last year, rumours started to circulate that the movie’s test screening ratings were comparable to those of The Dark Knight trilogy, one of DC’s highest-rated movies.

Gunn agrees with this viewpoint. The Guardians of the Galaxy filmmaker said earlier this year, “The Flash was just incredible. One of the best superhero films I’ve ever watched, in my opinion. It was beautifully done by Andy Muschietti, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

And although Gunn and Safran are said to be open to keeping the actor in the part if he puts his difficulties behind him, the original idea was to get rid of him after the movie’s June release. On Miller’s comeback, Safran said, “Ezra is wholly dedicated to their healing. And we are completely behind them on this trip they are currently doing.”

The movie was produced by Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco, and it was directed by Andy Muschietti from a script by Christina Hodson.

By the way, during the most recent Super Bowl event, Warner Bros. Discovery revealed a new trailer for The Flash. The DC Universe’s next film and television schedule was recently unveiled by Gunn and his co-CEO at DC Studios. Those who have blamed Gunn for Cavill’s dismissal from the DC Universe may want to reconsider their position in light of the fact that former DC Studios officials hired him to write the new Superman movie months before Henry Cavill’s brief comeback.

The Flash will now appear in theatres one week sooner on June 16, 2023, rather than on June 23, as was initially planned.
