1. Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana

Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) is a flagship scheme of the Indian government that aims to provide free healthcare to economically vulnerable families in India. The scheme was launched in 2018, and it has been a game-changer in the Indian healthcare sector, providing health coverage to over 10 crore families.

In 2023, the government plans to expand the coverage of the scheme, with a focus on increasing the number of hospitals and healthcare facilities that are empaneled under the scheme. This will enable more people to access quality healthcare services, especially in remote and rural areas of the country.

The government also plans to introduce a range of new initiatives under AB-PMJAY in 2023, such as providing telemedicine services and expanding the scope of the scheme to cover more medical procedures and treatments. The aim is to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for all, particularly those from disadvantaged sections of society.

2. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a scheme launched by the Government of India in 2019 with the aim of providing direct income support to farmers and their families. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive an annual payment of Rs. 6000/- in three equal instalments of Rs. 2000/- each.

In 2023, the PM-KISAN scheme is expected to continue providing support to farmers across the country. The government has allocated a budget of Rs. 75,000 crore for the scheme in the Union Budget 2023-24, which will benefit more than 12 crore farmers.

The scheme has been a major source of financial relief for small and marginal farmers, who often struggle to make ends meet due to low agricultural yields and rising input costs. The scheme has also helped to reduce farmer distress and suicides, which have been a major problem in India for many years.

To ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach the intended beneficiaries, the government has set up an elaborate system for registration and verification of farmers. The PM-KISAN portal allows farmers to register themselves and update their details, while state governments are responsible for verifying the eligibility of beneficiaries.
