Ant-Man the smallest Avenger is ready to make a significant impact in the multi-billion dollar franchise’s Phase 5 opening round.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the personification of “third times the charm.” Scott Lang, Hope Pym, and a fully-grown Cassie Lang are returning for a third outing after solo appearances that had only minor effects on the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

However, this time, the film will introduce Kang the Conqueror, the main antagonist of the Multiverse Saga, who will be portrayed by the multifaceted actor Jonathan Majors.

Although the premiere of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania isn’t scheduled to occur until February 17, the early reviews, which were previously under review embargo, have already been out and are pretty hype-inducing.

Here are a few of the thoughts on the upcoming MCU movie:

Given its extended running time, it seems that the early concerns about Ant-Man 3’s overabundance of action were justified. Quantumania marked the debuts of Kang the Conqueror, MODOK, and a more in-depth quantum realm in addition to revealing a future member of the Young Avengers, who were still in the formation phase. But Marvel Studios has never made a film like Ant-Man 3.

Before Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos, the first major antagonist of the series, made only a brief appearance. The MCU is including a potentially more dangerous villain this early on and with a lot more participation this time around.

For what it is worth, Ant-Man 3 will not really seem like the kind of circumstance where you throw everything at the wall and see what sticks.

Paul Rudd delivers, and Kathryn Newton doesn’t let fans down in her debut MCU cameo, according to early previews. More importantly, Jonathan Majors is adored by all. The Loki series saw Majors play He Who Remains, a cheerful, playful, and almost insane Kang version. Now, in Kang the Conqueror, an entirely different variant, critics are praising Majors for his ability to alter things up.

Majors knew what to do, as the kids say now.

Strangely enough, not much is spoken about the performances by Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer.

And so, on February 17, when Ant-Man and the Quantumania finally hits theatres, we’ll learn more about the film.

It’s fascinating that Avatar: The Way of Water is still available to watch in light of the upcoming release of Ant-Man 3. People continue to watch and rewatch the sequel in large numbers, despite the fact that it has finally been ousted from its throne at the box office. Ant-Man 3 and Avatar 2 will probably have to compete in a friendly box office war two weekends from now as it doesn’t appear that Disney has any intentions to discontinue showing Avatar 2 in theatres anytime soon.
